Hi,
I've managed to save a few lilium species in the garden from extinction from lily beetle
(L. canadense, michiganense, formosanum pricei, monadelphum, martagon cattinae)--but the ones I did not get around to treating (along with most of the Frits) are now gone.
Lily beetle is even beginning to affect native lilium populations in North America---L. philadelphicum seems to be one of the few it does not affect (yet).
Can anyone offer seed of other species?

I'll see what I can do, it all depends on the weather, last year I didn't get a single pod.

I normally get a good seed set on
L. oxypetalum var insigne
L.duchartrei
various colour forms of L. martagon including a nice clear white one
L. nanum
L.szovitisianum,(monadelphum ??).
There are others as well ,just can't think of them at the moment.
Please let me know if any are of interest and i'll save seed later on in the year .

Kirstl - What are you using to treat for lily beetle? Imidichloprid seems to work well for the whole season if it is applied as a drench just as the shoots are emerging, the difficult part is trying to keep the drench from being diluted by rainfall for the initial 10 days. I think a follow up treatment of the base with malathion might be wise in case there is an egg mass. I'd be interested in your treatment regime. Neem is said to work in hot climates.
