Hi,
I'm from Bulgaria and I love to grow flowers in my home, garden or balcony.
One of my favorite type of plants are the bulbous. From soon I decided to try to grow some of them from seeds.First, I try with Gladiolus and i had a success. This spring I pollinate one Tulip - Tulipa viridiflora 'Greenland' with Tulipa blue parrot. Now I already have seeds.
My question is - How to grow them? They look much like the gladiolus with which in the beginning I made some mistakes.I know that the Tulips has very different life cycle and I have worries that I can make something in the wrong way.
Can someone help me, please?
I'll be very thankful.

Hi Foly!
I've never tried to grow tulips from seed, but I've read this will take up to 7 (!) years until they
reach flowering size! Sow them on the surface of a well drained soil mix, start watering in September
and wait.... and wait.... and wait ;D
If you have a look at Ian Youngs bulblog you will find lots of tips and tricks for sowing seeds.
Good luck

Well...7 years..I'll wait.I think It'll be interesting.I really want to see the result...It seems that the guys which makes all of the beauty hybrids has a big patience. ;)
I'll also look in the blog.
Thanks!!
I don't know why but I'm crazy in growing monocots from seeds! ;D
