Title: anemonella thalictroides ''oscar shoaf's double'' dormancy time?

does anyone know what time roughly these little buttercups start to die down?
my clone of the above and betts blake double have gone yellow now but i fear they may have died, so just wanted to know what the dormancy time is so i can stop worrying (as i do about my plants)

I think the anemonellas are what Kristl calls "ephemerals" by which I think she means they are here today, gone tomorrow, quite a short season above ground. The seed too, when there is any, has a short life compared to many others, as with many Ranunculaceae.

As a reassurance Rob, you could (very gently) feel below the compost surface and you'll surely feel little hard, knobby bits, just waiting for next year. :)

It's probably a bit early in your season for the new bit to be a seedling, but time will tell. Could be a seedling of something else, a weed perhaps?
