Post by: Maggi Young on October 23, 2025, 08:46:49 PM
The Scottish Rock Garden Club Edinburgh & Lothians Group, in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, is hosting an upcoming event focused on the future of plants, particularly in respect of conservation horticulture. This event at RBG Edinburgh will feature engaging lectures from noted authorities as well as guided tours on Saturday, November 8, and you and your members are warmly invited to join us.

For more details, please refer to the attached programme or visit the following weblink -Scottish Rock Garden Club - Local Edinburgh Group  - https://www.srgc.net/add-local-edin.asp

This free event aims to enhance awareness and understanding of the vital role we play in conserving threatened plant species and their habitats. Additionally, it serves to celebrate the beauty and importance of plants, which are not only invaluable to our ecosystem but also enrich our lives, reminding us of the importance of caring for them.

I would be most grateful if you could bring the event to the attention of your members, as I'm sure that it will be of interest to many, whether it's the practical work to conserve Scotland's native species, the renovation of historic rock gardens or the importance of addressing the issues facing primulas.

I hope to see you at the event!

With kind regards,
