Can anyone tell me what these are? Unearthed when Clare was 'refurbishing' the island bed. JohnnyD

Size?

If small, could they be peanuts? Grown from peanuts from a feeder hidden by crows/maggies/jackdaws. Just break one open to see.

Look and sound like peanuts to me.
They are obviously still "green". If they don't rot, the outer skin will dry and can be rubbed off to leave what you normally see as monkey nuts or peanuts in the shell.
The actual peaniuts, if they are peanuts, will obviously also still be green/wet but be perfectly recognisable as peanuts.
