Title: Is this Lilium monodelphum?
Post by: Claire Cockcroft on June 12, 2023, 05:36:34 PM
I think this is a lily from seed I sowed in 2013.  If it is, the seed was wild-collected in Georgia (Europe) in 2007.  From NARGS Seed Exchange, 2009-2010.

Claire,

I believe it is.  If not, it is an excellent impersonator!

You are exactly right.  I receive that same seed packet through NARGS that year also #4359, donor:New York Botanical Gardens, wild collected, Georgia 2007.

Mine bloomed in 2015.  it was a glorious year!  Came up the next year and did not bloom, but seemed healthy.  Did not return the year after. Jan J. offered to propagate it in vitro from bud tissue, but alas...
