Well known Author and Forumist, Gail Harland, has had her latest book published by the Hardy Plant Society. This adds to an ever-growing list of titles from Gail - Not bad going for a woman who has a busy full-time job in another field!
This one is called Galanthus- A Guide to Snowdrops and Gail gives a charming message of thanks to SRGC forumists and HPS members who assisted her with answers to her snowdrop surveys in completing this book.
As can be seen from the contents page, Gail covers a lot of ground in this neat book - it is a expertly presented and a great buy for Snowdrop lovers. It is a pleasure to have this book and recommend it.

The Hardy Plant Society already had some for sale at the recent Thenford galanthus day in the UK - and I expect it to be available from their website soon.

Apologies for the slow reply but thank you Maggi, and to Alan for providing the link. :)
And I must reiterate thanks to all of you who completed the survey - I had 75 responses from all round the world which was lovely! Selection of which snowdrops to include was difficult and I tried to keep it to those that I know as good garden growers, and those recommended by at least two respondents. Hopefully your favourite is among them...
The cover shot is of a selection of Galanthus bursanus - courtesy of Brian Ellis.

The busy Gail Harland has another book published to add to her list! This time it is "The Rock Garden" - not to be confused with the twice-yearly journal of the SRGC, but rather about the rock garden as we know it- including the interest in geology that is often found amongst the gardeners.
Lots of great photographs of famous rock gardens/features and super rock garden plants and at shows, this book will be published in March and can be preordered here:
