We visited today to get the snowdrops in sunshine.
-
How lovely! Just breath-taking in quantity - was there enough sun/heat to let the scent spread?

Very impressive - Thank you for showing

The weather was 8c and windless. However, we had the pleasure of a farmer spraying slurry in his nearby field! The snowdrop area is about 400 yards long by 200 yards wide. There is a local group formed who are looking after what was a neglected area with boggy ground and thick shrubs in some parts. They are taking out clumps of snowdrops and relocating them to nearby areas with the intent forming up two areas into one. This will take about 50 years for them to spread, so we have decided to hang on until we are 130 years old and enjoy the view!
I tried to put a google earth view of the wood, but it wouldn't take on this system.
