Title: Which gentian?
Post by: Ingvild B on August 03, 2020, 12:12:58 PM
I got this through the seed exchange in 2017 as Gentiana gelida, but it does not quite fit. I have been guessing Gentiana septemfida because of the slightly 'frilly'bits, but I cannot find any pictures looking like mine. The stems are about 25+ cm. I hope somebody recognises it but both buds and flowers are very nice anyway, and it grows well.

I'd  vote  for  a form of  Gentiana  septemfida, Ingvild - for  what it's  worth! Rather attractive  colouring  to the  flowers, for  sure.

I think it is a crossing with Gentiana paradoxa!

Thank you both! I reckon this is as close as I get. I will try to look after it as I lost my blue septemfida last winter.
