Title: Gladiolus
Post by: Roma on July 03, 2020, 01:08:05 PM
I think I have asked before, but is this Gladiolus communis?  I have quite a lot in my garden but don't consider it a nuisance.  I do try to dead head but often miss some.  It has winged seeds and produces lots of cormlets so is easily spread when the soil is disturbed.

Here is a picture from my plant ...collected before many years ( 1998 ) in Toscany
Since this time I have it in my garden :)

Thank you, Hans.
I think it looks good in this spot with Osteospermum jucundum compactum and Salvia 'Love and Wishes'.  I did not plant the Gladiolus there but it is a happy combination.[attachimg=1]
