Title: Mystery plant
Post by: ChrisB on June 19, 2020, 03:07:59 PM
My friend has discovered this growing in an area and doesn’t remember planting it. It’s spreading fairly quickly. She thinks it has had pinkish flowers but not sure of that

Something which spreads about  ...... perhaps  an Alstroemeria beginning its move  to world domination?

I think I’ve solved my own problem Maggi, woke up in the night and thought, I gave her polygonatum hookeri long while ago. She said it had purple/mauve flowers a while back, that’s what I’m sure it is now ...  sorry to have bothered you...

Oh, that's good, Christine - and  much better  to have than an alstro spreading like  mad!! I've  got  a  chum with that problem and  the  young shoots  look like  that so I was sidetracked!

I have got alstromeria popping up here and there. Most are not as travel prone as the orange one, but they do like to find pastures new from time to time ...
