Title: ants in the compost bin
Post by: John85 on May 02, 2020, 09:48:06 PM
Ants have made their nest in de compost bin.
I am afraid they are going to prey in the worms
What can I do to eliminate them without killing the worms?

One solution that works pretty well:

1 part of bicarbonate used for food or cleaning
1 part of icing sugar
Mix and add water slowly until you get a creamy stuff not too much liquide.
Put that mixture in a jar lid or a plastic box in which you cut a hole.

In less than 48h you'll see a difference.
I use that in.my greenhouse when ants come inside the pots and play with seeds pods :)

Yann, thank you for the recipe, I will also have to try it when ants come in my pots. Ants are attracted to sugar and then die because of bicarbonate, is that how it works?
