Hi,
I have received this plant under the name Androsace squarrosula, however I feel the rosettes and form and too dissimilar to be A.squarrosula. The only possible plant in D.Lowes Androsace book is Androsace wulfeniana. It has virtually no hairs on the rosette and seems quite fleshy.[attachimg=1]
Does anyone know what it could be?

Ahh, a reminder of what a loss the passing of Duncan Lowe and David Mowle is to us in the alpine world.
I think your reasoning is along the right lines, Alex, but perhaps you might contact Josef Lemmens ( he of Androsace World http://www.alpines.be/androsaceworld/fotogallerij/photogallery.htm (http://www.alpines.be/androsaceworld/fotogallerij/photogallery.htm) ) to see what his opinion is?
