Title: Plant ID Succulent ?

Any ideas on what this succulent may be

it's amazing, I've never seen it ..

the epidermis is covered with papillae ?


 could it belong to the genus Tylecodon, which contains a strange cauciciform plant?

Thanks for that - Tylecodon looks like the right genus, I am having difficulty in working out the species, so lets hope we can find out more.....

Looks like this one is actually Monilaria moniliformis, does that look correct?

Most  of these  African plants are  a mystery to me - but  it  is a  most  interesting growth pattern!

you have certainly found the right species.
 the rough epidermis, a little like with the taste buds made me think also of an Aizoaceae ...
