There's a Noel Coward song 'I've been to a marvellous party', well we've been to a marvellous garden this week. York Gate in Adel north of Leeds. It's run by Perennial the charity that helps old gardeners so we thought we qualified. Its only an acre in size but split into several differently themed areas. I'll see if I can tempt you to go.

The piggies are in the Veg. garden.

The head gardener pointed out this Pleione or we would have missed it about 10 ft up.

Also to add to our enjoyment of the garden in the sales area working as a knowledgeable volunteer was Anne a lovely lady we met through the SRGC because she was involved in the Glasgow Show usually behind the scenes serving teas and cakes. She said she was a Leeds girl and had moved back.

Oh, that's a lovely garden!I think you've met Dr Anne, who was at one time the Glasgow SRGC Convenor and who moved back to Leeds a few years ago - wonderful woman !

Beautiful Garden. We went in early April on one of our visits to "The Homeland" but the camera stayed in Devon!

What a pity David but I'm glad you have seen it.
