I've had this Epimedium ecalcaratum since 2013. Bought it in flower and it's never flowered since. I've had it in two places in the garden one fairly shady, 'tother very shady... and nary a flower. The Boss was in the garden this morning and just as I was passing she said 'Your Epimediums in flower'.
I was shocked and rushed down to see. 'No' I said, 'That isn't an Epimedium flower, but I don't know what it is?'
If I was guessing I might say it was something from next doors bird table- cruciform flower; nice yellow shade; pointed leaves slightly hairy and turned over them selves.
Can anyone help please? Oh, and if you can also suggest a better place for the plant that would be great.

Looks like Epimedium pinnatum. It is definitely not ecalcaratum.

David,
I agree, maybe pinnatum or xperralchicum 'Frohnleiten' which is one of the ones more frequently offered.
I think epimediums sometimes take a while to settle down to flowering - that's my experience anyway!

Well spotted, Mrs Nicholson!! ;D

Thanks for help all. I thought 6 years was a pretty generous time to flower again? :(
Come on Maggi, you know eeeeeeeverything you must have a guess at what my flower is if it isn't an Epimedium ;D
