Hi,
Can someone identify this for me please. Can’t find the label and age related memory can’t recall what it is.

Is it Sophora denudata ?

Thanks Maggi,
You set me in the right direction with Sophora - it is Sophora microphylla ‘Sun King’
The forum does it again ;D

It's doing well for you, Graham - it's the sort of plant I'd like to try, but anything that size makes the Bulb Despot nervous because of the space it might take up - everything here is subject to the "how many erythroniums would fit in that space" question!
-
Graham are you giving your plant protection over the winter.. I have mine in my polytunnel but would like to have it planted outdoors. Mine is just starting to go over now.

Maggi, surely the erythronium would grow under the Sophora and it would add to the many architectural shrubs and trees you have in your garden.
Angie, it is planted outside (three years now) but doesn’t look as good as yours. It is against a wall which runs North to South and facing East. Its fairly dry where it is but the wind swirls around in that corner of the garden. I would suggest somewhere sheltered but you should give it a go.

Graham I bet the wall will be giving it the protection in needs and some warmth. You know my garden there isn't a sheltered spot anywhere but I might give it a go .

Nice to see a New Zealand native doing well. I have one in a gecko cage and it flowers confined to a space 1.5m tall x 900mm wide x 600mm deep. 8)

Well, you'd think so, wouldn't you?!! Seems Anthony can get a decent looking plant at reasonable size ..... so Angie, does yours set seed, or could I get a cutting? Pretty please?!!
-
Never noticed seed on it but can easy take a cutting for you.
It is very pretty.

Yes, it may be more likely to set seed in your climate, Anthony.
