Another beautiful day today, lovely blue sky with hazy sunshine, so we made our first trip of the year to Lanhydrock.
A view from the higher parts of the garden across the House and the parkland.
The Magnolias were in wonderful form and I don't think we have ever seen them better. Be they white or pink they just shone. We have never seen the collection of yellow Magnolias at their best, they are usually quite a bit later than the pinks and whites, so we will try again in mid-March

More Magnolias.

Some of the Camellias were getting past their best so I chose the best of the flower heads to picture.

Beautiful - Thank you for showing.

Very hard to imagine magnolias in flower here at this time - even in a warm season like this.
(Mind you, no magnolias in our garden now, so we'd be hard -pressed to see them in flower regardless of the weather !)
I always think of magnolias as being in flower in April at the time of the Perth Show , which is when I mostly see them!
(Apologies to those with magnolias in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, which are in fine flower unbeknownst to me!)

Looks great, David!

Thanks to all.

Glorious Magnolias David!
They got me dreaming about spring (not a very good thing, it's still far away) but nothing says spring better than them, even here.
