Title: Rauhia decora
Post by: Erika on February 12, 2019, 12:44:17 PM
Hello, When is the best time to repot Rauhia decora? It grows in a 13cm width pot with about 10cm depth.  One leaf is senescing, while the other three large leaves are green. There are also offshoots in the pot, and a new leaf is emerging slowly.  Thank you. Erika

A few members grow this plant so I hope they will be more help!

I’ve done that with no response so I’m trying my luck here.

Can't help I'm afraid as this is something I killed, to my shame, when it got left outside during my move here. So I can only say it doesn't cope with frosty weather (as if you couldn't guess!).

I find it best to replant amarylids when they are starting to emerge or in beginning stages of active growth.
My Rauhia decora are smaller plants in 10cm pots which i barely water in winter. They went “dormant” a month of so ago and one has a leaf emergong from the cup at the top of the bulb. i plan to up pot them in the next month when it gets a bit warmer here.

Thanks very much Rimmer. I repotted them as I had a new growth developing. Erika
