Years ago we grew a very pretty soft blue flowered form of Geranium brycei at Kerrachar. When we left we foolishly brought with us either seeds or plants and have never been able to replace it. Does anyone grow this species ? We are also interested in other S African geraniums. Far fewer seem to be in cultivation now than were around a few years back.

Last year a fellow forumist pointed out Fibrex nurseries http://www.fibrex.co.uk/ (http://www.fibrex.co.uk/) to me. They hold a national collection as well. Maybe they can help? Another place where people may where to source it could be the Chelsea Physic garden in London where I spotted loads of unusual geraniums and pelargoniums in May last year. Good luck!

Just discovered this nursery. They don't have G. brycei but have recently ordered a couple of (hopefully) hardy pelargonoiums as wellas pelargonium seed from Fibrex. Also joined the IGG (International Geraniaceae Group) for seed - they have far more pelagoniums than geraniums on the extensive list.
