Title: Call from RCHS - The Caley - for nominations

Who is your horticultural hero? Is it the person who is always on hand to help out at your community garden? Is it the one the allotment who shares their wealth of experience? Whoever it is, amateur or professional, experienced gardener or student, why not nominate them for a Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society award.

The Caley issues a range of awards, details of which can be found on their website -

 RCHS  (Caley) Award winners  this year - including  Stan da Prato and Sandy Leven of SRGC!

Today Ian Christie and I with help from Colin Ainsworth and Colin Wren built a small rock garden in one of the raise beds in Saughton Park which has  been redeveloped with HLF money by the Caley in partnership with Edinburgh City Council. We have partly planted it up with alpines donated by Ian.
