On gardener's world there was a picture of Margeret Owen with a bell shaped blue flower.Can someone remember me its name?

It is a Clematis.
Probably a named variety...such as Clematis cylindrica "Swedish Bells".

And what a lovely tribute to Margaret Owen the whole segment from Mark Heath was.
I must say, I am prepared to believe that Shropshire is one of the coldest counties in England - but it is really a stretch to regard it as being in any way, in "the North of England"!

Dead right Maggi it's in the Midlands in anybodies money. Can't get away with those Midlanders claiming Northern heritage! >:(

Was it Clematis heracleifolia? I seem to remember seeing it in a recent programme. I have two in the garden. They flower fairly late in the season and are good for insects.
