Dundee Flower and Food Festival Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September - promises more than ever: acres of flowers, cookery demos, Cultural Expo, food & drink stalls, art & craft displays, activities and entertainment for all! A packed programme is promised: read on for more ...
Originally titled 'The Dundee Horticultural Exhibition', it has grown over three decades to become the best competitive horticultural show in Scotland. This year, we help to launch Scotland Food & Drink Fortnight with a focus on young talent as part of Scotland's Year of Young People 2018.
There will be many highlights ...
The Cultural Expo in Camperdown House - showcasing the wonderful work undertaken by Dundee's Cultural organisations. Visitors will be able to take part in a whole range of activities and experiences.
Friday 31 August ...
Chef Gary Maclean - the 2016 winner of Masterchef: The Professionals will be cooking in the Scotland's Natural Larder Food Marquee ... one of many award-winning chefs joining us over the three days.
Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 September ...
We're delighted to welcome The One Show presenter and gardener Christine Walkden ... not only a gardener, but also a respected writer, horticulturalist, trainer, photographer, lecturer (and SRGC member!) ... and much more! Christine's also won the Royal Television Society Award for her series, 'Glorious Gardens from Above'.
Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd ...
We give a great big Dundee welcome to TV Presenter and Farmer JB Gill. He rose to fame as a member of JLS and now farms a small holding in the Kent countryside producing award-winning KellyBronze turkeys and free-range Tamworth pork.
He uses his success, celebrity status and passion to help educate children about the origins of food. He's also the lead presenter on CBeebies' BAFTA-nominated ‘Down On The Farm’.
Sunday 2nd ...
Our special guest will be TV presenter Mr Bloom and his Band! He is CBeebies very own ‘Gardener Extraordinaire’. He travels the length & breadth of the country performing live - and is the only person guaranteed to get children screaming at the top of their lungs for Broccoli!
The Festival run from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September within the stunning setting of Camperdown Country Park. We very much hope you are able to support the event. You’ll even spy a Penguin or two as part of this year’s fantastic Penguin Parade that’s raising awareness and funding for the fab work at Maggie’s Centre.
The Festival grows each year - and is a must on the calendar for those who love flowers and food. This year’s is no exception: cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables, fruit, floral art, baking, preserves, wine, honey, beekeeping, handcrafts as well as a whole host of categories for green fingered children with inter-school and photographic competitions too!
The Festival offers the best in food, horticulture and live entertainment with a packed weekend programme that includes free cookery demonstrations, children's activities, a craft fair and the chance to taste and buy a wide range of culinary delights ... and so much more."

All looking good - the Begonias are so cheerful aren't they? I wonder how they get them to the show in perfect condition - it seems you've only to sneeze on them to bruise them.
Just seen this on facebook from the Caley....
The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society - The Caley
"The Caley stand is finished and we are ready for the Dundee Flower and Food Festival. Thanks to Pam Whittle for the finishing touches to the stand. Some lovely mini Cyclamen from Pentland Plants sit nicely in our little crates. A big thank you to the lovely Brian Young from Holmes Farm Plants for letting us "borrow" some of his plants. They look great! "
