BBC Gardeners World's Carol Klein was in the Explorers Garden (just next to the Pitlochry Festival theatre) over the weekend. She said: "This is one of the most beautiful gardens I’ve ever been in... it’s a huge tribute to Scotland’s past the wonderful plant explorers who went out and brought these plants in".
She got a warm welcome from Garden Manager Julia Corden- who is the SRGC's President Elect.

Carol and Julia in the Exploreres Garden - above them can be seen the Douglas Pavilion. SRGC sponsors the exhibition of Photographs of Erythronium by Ian Young which is on display in the pavilion until October. Julia reported that Carol enjoyed the exhibition very much!
Carol Klein, recently honoured by the RHS by being awarded the Victorian Medal of Honour, is on a lecture tour in the UK.

I tried to watch the video but it stops after 10 seconds and refuses to continue. Something wrong or is it just me ?

I thied and it is going OK!
With my wife I visited this fine Explorer garden two years ago. I belive, it is unique in the world to show the plantcollectors and their plants from all continents in one garden! A wonderful concept is realisated!
