The first Moraea in flower in our garden this year is Moraea polystachya, a reliable autumn-winter flowering "bulb",

I have three small plants that came up from seeds this year.  Should I move up to pots, or leave in seed pot to develop bulbs, like I have done with Narcissus, and Crocus for two years. Very pretty plant.

Hi Cecile,
I'd suggest that you do the same as with the Narcissus and crocus - keep them in the same pot and keep them growing as long as possible to build up the size of the bulb.
I'm not sure where you are gardening so am not sure whether you can plant them out or just keep them in pots; they take down to -7^oC in our garden and grow through the winter to die down in spring/summer and re-emerge in autumn,

Moraea macronyx marked and unmarked forms - this year has flowered from late August to early October

Moraea setifolia flowers well in a pot but it is appearing in grassed areas around the property which is a concern!

Moraea macrocarpa has a very short flowering period it seems only a few hours in the middle of the day!
I finally managed to get a pic of the third flower!

I rather envious.

Am I correct to assume that M.lurida is a winter gowing spring bloomer?

I have not seen this moraea in a couple of years. The original was a hitchhiker in a pot of Dichelostemma from Garry Reid (Obscure Bulbs) and we think it's Moraea gracilenta.
It really stands out against the Haplopappus coronopifolius (from seed from Lesley Cox) in glorious flower!
This must be a seedling of the original which appears to have died
