Title: Maybe a silly question
Post by: Palustris on January 17, 2018, 03:59:54 PM
There are always a good few Seed selling sites mentioned on this Website and lots of people report good germination from the seed. So, I was wondering, what happens to all those plants which those good seed sowers end up with?
We go to many AGS shows and always look at the members stall plants and the things on display. BUT, I cannot remember  seeing plants mentioned as coming from one of these seed sites. Just wondering!

Hello Eric
We sell plants at AGS shows but don't include the source on the label except in the case of wild collected seedlings where it is appropriate to provide the Collection Number so that the plant's provenance can be perpetuated. I suspect most sellers don't append it  partly because of lack of space and partly because it may not have much importance who the seed merchant was. What is useful is the collection location.
