Unfortunately there has been a hiccup at the printers, but the latest North Green Snowdrops Catalogue is now online:
http://www.northgreensnowdrops.co.uk/ (http://www.northgreensnowdrops.co.uk/)
The printed catalogue will be sent out to People as soon as possible.

Normal Galanthus nivalis are very nice too and so cheap ;)

Has anyone actually had their catalogue from North Green yet? After the article in the Telegraph at the weekend I hope he is getting lots printed? Brian do you know?
-
Haven’t had mine. I forgot to tick the catalogue box and pay £4 with last year’s order so sent a cheque a week or so later with an explanation. I keep wondering if that’s why I haven’t had a catalogue. But if others haven’t had catalogues either...
I have now ordered from the online catalogue but how will they prioritise?
-
That's what I was wondering too David - I haven't ordered yet :o
-
I do believe they should have been sent out today as we were given some to sell on Saturday for Charity - and that is the first time I had seen it in the flesh so to speak.
-
Just arrived.

Here too David & Brian - now to check my Lottery tickets!!!

..........now to check my Lottery tickets!!!
Probably a good idea for 'drop buying! Heard on the radio this morning that Lottery ticket sales are down by a considerable percentage (- I think around 13-15 %) after the changes which have seen a rise in the chances of winning the lottery go from one in 14 million to one in 45 million!!!!
:-\ :'( :'(

Need a plan B then! Maybe selling snowdrops instead?
-
Unsurprisingly, as the weather has virtually closed parts of the country down, I have been asked to let people know that there will be a delay in lifting and sending out all orders from the North Green catalogue...normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
Here is the lane leading to North Green!

Well Brian, this weather is not for you, The Islanders.
Here such sight would be welcome, but in January, not in March. Of course, it would cause transportation problems here too, and also broken legs and arms etc. But otherwise we would be happy. Unfortunately, this is not the case in recent years. The last winter with stable and significant (about 50 cm) snow cover was 4 years ago. We have frosts now, but no snow.

The amount for my 'Sale by Tender' bid has been debited from my account today. I believe these are the first bulbs to be despatched by North Green.

My snowdrops from North Green arrived yesterday (Monday).
For anyone new to snowdrop growing and buying bare-rooted snowdrop plants, its really important at this time of the season to get them rapidly planted in compost and water them thoroughly (every day or every other day) to prevent them drying out and delay the yellowing of the leaves as long as possible.

Thank you for the advice, extra care will be taken on what is probably going to be a cold weekend.
