Most of us are familiar with the tigerworms (eisenia) in our compost heaps and under the right conditions they breed easily.
I wonder if it is possible to farm the common earthworm(lumbricus terrestris)
I have just started to cultivate a field that has nearly none in it due to excess use of chemicals
Of course I'll increase the among of organic matter with compost but the eisenias will not survive on the field. Therefore adding extra lumbricus would be very useful.

Anglers have tried for years. Far more difficult than brandlings or red worms in a container. I always just dug mine up. But if there are none in your field naturally I don't rate your chances.
