Title: My very first Crocus from seeds
Post by: Gabriela on August 24, 2017, 09:33:01 PM
I have to show here my very first Crocus grown from seeds - thanks to inspiration provided by Ian in his Bulb logs and all the other Croconuts on this forum. I gave it a try to C. banaticus from nostalgia reasons and also because it is one that doesn't need a dry summer rest. Even so, given the rainy summer and not too good sowing mix, the pots were so muddy that I believed them all rotten. Crocus pallasii didn't do as well, but also few corms are OK.

I counted them quite a few times - there are exactly 53 little Crocus banaticus corms  :) :) :)

Thanks Sam and Maggi.
I already started to think about how many will make it to the flowering size  ::) More to worry about :-)
