Title: I thought this was an Oenothera 'till the label vanished!

The early flowers were on long (reddish) stems, but it is now flowering almost sessile.
Search as I may I cannot find either label or memory of its name.

It looks like an oenothera to me. Not sure which one though.

I think it is Oenothera minima
