Title: Deadheading Alpines
Post by: kitty52 on July 16, 2017, 12:28:10 PM
Following some help here in February I planted my alpine plants and I am delighted how well they have grown and flowered.  I am happy with deadheading most things but never sure when the flowers appear on long stems. I have a question about deadheading Saxifraga Winifred Bevington.  Should I cut the stem right back as I can see small buds sometimes at the lower end of a stem which has flowered, or should I just cut to these buds?  Also I have Felicia Rosulatas which flowered very well but only once.  I did cut back the full stem after flowering, not sure if I should have done that.  Any help would be appreciated thanks.
