As many folk may know the local authority withdrew its support earlier this year for the Ayr Flower Show which was second only to the Gardening Scotland Show for attendances.
However, the local community has rallied round and a new show Ayr & District Flower Show will now be held at Ayr Racecourse on 18th and 19th August.
Admission will be £5 - children free.
To encourage clubs/societies/nurseries the fees will be £50 for an outdoor pitch with a facing of 5metres and £75 for an indoor pitch with a facing of 3.5metres.
