Title: The Pudsey Pig Competition 2017
Post by: ranunculus on April 09, 2017, 03:53:01 PM
The big news from the Chesterfield AGS Show in beautiful Derbyshire yesterday was the sensational win in THE PUDSEY PIG COMPETITION of 2017 for Carol Kellett of Chorley.  Images show the clamour of entrants queueing 'enthusiastically' for the noon opening of the doors to the trough and Carol's winning smile after she ceremoniously consumed more than her own weight in calories and stodge.  The photos also show the prestigious trophy and the delightful prizes presented by last year's winner, Lance Carless from Redditch.

Ah yes, the usual motley crew assembles - interesting to see those  "playing it cool"  beforehand with a studied casual approach- no-one convinced, I'm sure - we all know the competition is particularly fierce and  enthusiastically  contested. ;)

Carol K. is surely a deserving winner - look at that "winning" smile -all happiness and innocence - at a quick glance one might think she had merely consumed a light snack.  Her professionalism in her task is  indicated to the experienced viewer, however,  by the lack of  foodstuff dribbled  down her front - this woman is a champion and no mistake!
Well done Carol,
 - and to all the gallant contestants - and I see a good number of  previous winners and runners-up in the company so this was a well-fought fight!
Thank you, Cliff,  for your  fine report on this famous event.  Many of us will now be heading for the bottle of Gaviscon at the very thought of what we've missed!
 :o ;D ;D
