Title: Anemone pseudo altaica hardiness
Post by: kris on March 13, 2017, 12:29:59 AM
HI Maggi I do not know whether this is the right place for this question.
Does any one has grown this plant knows about the hardiness?
I live in zone3 which is quiet cold but Anemone nemorosa  and Anemonella thalictroides grow well.
I want this plant but when after at the price I am reluctant to gamble.

I grow several forms of Anemone pseudo-altaica and they grow well. I live in Denmark as have 6 for hardness zone. I grow them in peat.

Thank you Karl.
It looks like I have to gamble with the plant since my zone is 3 and nobody grows it in Zone3

I've only recently indulged in some of these so can't really comment on hardiness yet but the most indulgent indulgence (of course!) looks as though it has fallen prey to a slug or snail...

that is one advantage we have.
The snails are not out till summer and by then the anemone  has gone dormant.
