Hi all, it's nearly time again! Loughborough Show next Saturday, 11th March.
REMEMBER IT IS A NEW VENUE. GO TO THE OLD ONE AND YOU MAY BE 1) LONELY AND 2) VERY DISAPPOINTED
The new address is Shepshed High School, Forest Street, Shepshed, Loughborough, LE12 9DB.
When you exit the M1 at Junction 23 go West instead of East taking the A512 towards Ashby. Turn right at the first traffic lights onto Leicester Road. After 0.7 miles bear right onto Forest Street. In 500 yds turn right into the schools campus.
We hope to have lots of signposts up to help.
Nurseries attending are:-
Aberconwy Nursery
Choice Landscapes
Edrom Nurseries
Hartside Nursery
Laneside Hardy Orchids
Little Heath Farm
Norwell Nursery
Parham Bungalow Plants
Pottertons Nursery
Barthomley Botanics (Razvan Chisu)

Two general photos of the show by Razvan Chisu - easy to see how the light in this new venue is much nicer than the old one

And from Lawrence Peet - who I hope is having a good day with his plants too - photos of the Farrer Medal plant and AGS Medal 6-pan class - from Paul and Gill Ransom. Congratulations Paul and Gill on this - not only a fabulous Farrer plant, but a great six with six different yellows!
"Farrer medal for Dionysia sarvestanica ssp. spathulata and AGS medal (6 pan) for Paul and Gill Ransom STUNNING!!!!!!!"

just got home - much better venue - lots of parking - hall was large and light - there also seemed to be a lot of plants on display - and a lot of people
need to have a cup of tea and have a look at the photos (and try and distribute the boot full of plants around the building so it doesn't look like I have bought anything....)

What a great show! Super pictures , Graeme - that's a great show in a super hall for sure - Martin R. must be a happy man! ( Or he WILL be, when he's got it all tidied up, got home, had a good supper and a little kip!)

it was a good show - just the quantity and quality of plants - Saw Martin R and he will be happy with the attendance. Lawrence was in the hall whilst I was taking pictures but he is not on any as far as I can see.
-
What a fabulous show! So many incredible plants, looks to be a great venue and plenty of people there too.
-
Pilfered pic from Adrian Young of some plants from Lawrence Peet at Loughborough show today - I think we can be sure that these bode well for Lawrence's success again at this year's shows

Nice to see our pink Hepatica crept into the corner of one your pics. Terrific show, just long drive home.
-
What a marvelous show! Thanks to everyone posting photos.
-
Really good venue. Light in the Hall was great and parking easy.
Photos are still in the camera, will get round to dealing with them when it rains.
-
Graeme, thanks for the photo essay, especially as you're the first in a long time not to feature my bald patch!
A very successful day with 709 plants on the benches from 79 exhibitors and a total attendance of 672 :)
Just need to iron out a few things like how to get to the loo when most of the 672 are jamming the nursery sales tables :P
Big thanks to all who helped and all who came to see
-
Wow - what a colourful display, looks like there were some smashing plants on the bench.
Thank you for the effort you have put in to take and post the photographs so us 'stay at homes' can enjoy the day as well. It is greatly appreciated.
Susan :)

From Jon's posts -" Lawrence Peet won the AGS Award for the Intermediate six pan, which helped him towards the Outwoods Trophy for the section aggregate."
