Yet again I bought some Ranunculus asiaticus tubers. I treat them bad and if they flower that's good. I think it's about time I treated them better.
Do you grow them?
When do they naturally come in to growth?
What potting mix?
Can I simply plant them in the sand between pots in the green house?

I've tried a couple of times without much success. When I was at work I grew some from seed. I kept them going for a few years. They were grown in our own proper John Innes compost. I used to repot them about November. Don't remember when they started to flower. The greenhouse temperature din't drop much below 10C. The main problems were aphids and whitefly. I have a single flowered wild form from seed which is in leaf now in a frost free greenhouse.
