Celebrity Antiques Road Trip is a popular British TV programme which I know I enjoy watching.
The premise is that two celebrities travel with two antigues experts around a particular area of the UK for each programme, buying items which will then be sold at auction - object being to make a profit which is donated to charity.
Some of you may know that Lawrence Peet, ace exhibitor, saxifraga fan and general fungi - sorry, that should read fun guy - is, in his daily life, an Auctioneer - well, in a future programme, Lawrence will be featured in the show ......
This edition of the programme will be shown on Friday 9th December at 7pm on BBC 2
Notes from the programme's pages on BBC site :
Susan Cookson and Suzanne Packer are the actresses taking part in the programme ....... Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, Series 6 "Actors and friends from Casualty Susan Cookson and Suzannne Packer swap surgery scrubs for a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger as they battle it out around the north west of England, assisted by James Braxton and David Harper. Susan discovers her inner haggler, while Suzanne keeps the purse string very tight as she bids to discover an item with some real age.
As the trip winds across Yorkshire there is the chance to meet a very special woman from Sheffield and a look around some incredible gardens with an amazing history."
My mistake - the proper details are in my next post! The programme Lawrence will feature in has Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson and Jade Jones, both Olympic medal winners [attachimg=1]

Yes, my mistake - the programme with Lawrence will be on 9th December at 7pm on BBC 2 and will feature two British Olympians
Tanni Grey-Thompson and Jade Jones
Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, Series 6
"Top wheelchair Paralympians Tanni Grey-Thompson and Jade Jones do battle in the north east of England. Tanni has a record haul of medals and records, while her promising young protégé Jade is just starting out on her athletics career.
In the company of experts Phil Serrell and David Harper, the baroness from County Durham and Middlesbrough's Jade are on the lookout for antiques to take to auction in Harrogate.
Tanni also tries her hand at traditional glass making and Jade learns about the man who was a design champion of the region."

And the purple was quite soothing on the eye after the extraordinary lime-green of the expert's trousers. :o
I'd have bid on the miner's lamp, must ask Lawrence to keep an eye open for me! ;D
