Does anybody know this Himalayan (I think) Geranium?
It is from seed once but I don't think I ever got a name.
It flowers sparingly from June until it freezes in late autumn. The flowers are nodding especially in rain and during the night.
Decumbent growth and rather small leaves.

This geranium looks very like a Chris Chadwell specimen which I have. I think, from memory, that Chris described it as "close to wallichianum". It's from his expedition in 2012 (approx). I don't find it very floriferous - maybe I just haven't found the best place for it.

Carolyn,
Thank you very much. I had a hunch it was Chadwell seed! Although wallichianum is close it is definitely not that one.
My plant is not floriferous either but I like it and when it intertwine with shrubs.

According to Chris Chadwell it is Geranium lambertii.

Trond,
That's interesting. How did you find the name? Does Chris still have a webpage where he puts a name to the CC numbers?
-
Carolyn,
I just sent him an email with pictures!

Thanks, Trond. I have just been for a wander round the garden with my camera (in beautiful autumn sunshine) but there are no flowers left on any of those geraniums. I will just need to wait till next year to compare my plants with yours.
