Nice surprise today in the morning :o
first flowers on my Haylockia americana ( White form )
Sowing : 10.07.2011
....first watering :01.09.2016 ::)

I would say they have a little smell ...but I dont know which ...
I was really confused when I saw it this morning ...they look really like a Crocus
:o and I have not any Crocus in my greenhouse !
Now I will look for pics of my other Haylockia ( flowering in spring ) ...

This is Haylockia andina ( the habitat is in the mountains of Argentina ) on a altitude of 3000 m
The Haylockia ameriana is a low land plant

after a lot of searching I have found a note from Prof. Ravenna about Haylockia :
“sweet scent, a condition not found in any other species of the genus”
no wonder when I have not know this scent ::)

today has opened a yellow flower from my Haylockia americana pot :D

I have seen pictures from habitat...both forms grow side by side
Sure ...I have pollinate all together ( first this morning the both White flowering) ...and now the yellow
we will see ;D
