I've grown this Primula for a number of years as P. petiolaris however a knowledgeable friend doubts my identification. Strong grower even our conditions so much so I've been able to divide and share around .No farinose on the leaves..........
Thanks.
Cheers Dave.

Doing a very good impression of P. petiolaris for me, t00lie. P. petiolaris is efarinose - it is gracilipes which has farina.

Thanks Maggi
I've received a couple of suggestions of
P. scapigera
or P. x scapeosa , (I think it's parents are P.scapigera x P. bracteosa ) ? ......
I need to do a little more investigation .....
Cheers Dave.

P. scapigera has as a synonym, P. petiolaris var scapigera.
Suppose there is a chance of hybridity, either as x scapeosa or as petiolaris x gracilipes - there seems to be a touch of streakiness in the petals which may be affecting the look as a whole.
