In an article on the lily family (Gardeners' Chronicle, 1967, p.14) Edna Knowles mentioned a Convallaria majalis variety with extra long-stalked basal flowers, 'Basiantha'. Does anybody know this form? If so, are there any references? Is it still in cultivation?
There is a C. m. var. basiantha ASCHERSON & GRAEBNER but this is only recorded from the wild in Central Europe.
