Hello, I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of Trifolia this might be. I started out thinking this might be mountain clover. But the pinkish color made me rethink this. I stumbled acrossa description of Trifolia alpestre and thought it might be that because the leaves appear to be more elongated. But the photos of Trifolia alpestre all appear to show a flower with a deeper shade of rose/red.
The date was June 14 and the location is in the southern French Alps.
But Anyone willing to add their two cents?

Difficult to say without seeing the leaves and hov the head is attached to the plant.
I have seen pink T. repens.

if you look closely, you'll see the leaves on the ground in the photo. It's admittedly not very easy.

What I see reminds me most of all of T. fragiferum but I don't see any swollen heads.

I read some information that Trifolium fragiferum grows up to elevations of 1500m. The photo was taken around 1520 - 1600m mark so at the very extreme of its range.

Hi Rob, difficult to say from this photo. Could you post closeups of the flower and leaf?
Best, Tristan

I see I neglected to upload this close up of the flower. Unfortunately, I did not think to get one of the leaves.
