Title: Mystery Irish seaside plant
Post by: Tristan_He on July 30, 2016, 05:50:49 PM
Hi there, anyone know what this pretty little thing is? Found on the seashore on sandy soil just above the tideline near Mallaranny, Co. Mayo, Ireland. I wondered about Frankenia laevis but looking at images on the net I don't think it is.

It looks to me like lysimachia maritima (formerly glaux maritima), common name sea milkwort, which also grows on the Solway coast of Scotland.
