The tazettas have been out for a while and the hoop petticoats are going strong despite the winter's cold.
The first one is a "stray" - either a misplaced bulblet or a seedling which came up in someone else's pot ::)
[attach=2]
The second is one of Lawrence Trevanion's raising and named after a noise made by one of his children when a baby: Gefk ::) ::) ::)

2 years ago I planted 3 bulbs of Narcissus romieuxii 'Craigton Clanger' and 3 bulbs of Narcissus romieuxii 'Craigton Clumper' outdoors....dug them up today to see how they had done and "the clanger" seems to be more of a clumper than "the clumper"
-
I have a couple of seedlings from 'Craigton Chorister' coming up. :)
-
Narcissus 'Viristar' is cross between the jonquil 'Hillstar' and 'Emerald Sea' from Lawrence Trevanion,

1) This little clump of hoop petticoats is supposed to be 'Tiffany' and 'Tarlatan';
2) nearby is a seedling which shows a lot of N. romieuxii influence

Another "stray" not far from a clump of 'Jessamy' so possibly a seedling of hers,

No.
Apparently he used the noises/sounds made by his children when they were babies or toddlers!

Sweet little Narcissus there, Fermi! I just love the pale yellow ones.
-
Hi Matt,
in our garden the sequence of "hoops" seems to be white, then lemon, then the deeper yellows.
Here's a hoop from Glenbrook: Ianmon
And the flowers of Viristar are fading to white-white

The label says Narcissus Limequilla X Emerald Sea (not virition, as the pic says) 06-2MJ (sown) March 2014 and came from Lawrence Trevanion. Lovely greenish flowers.
-
Even I have a few Narcissi flowering in pots :)
1. A pot of seed-grown hoops (don't know what the white one's doing in there but, it's very welcome!) and
2. N. assoanus (ex JJA seed)

The white one (under-exposed to bring out the detail):

First flower on this selection of Narcissus fernandesii var. cordubensis which Lawrence Trevanion raised by crossing 2 different clones,

Hi
It is a very odd season here with quite a few daffodils flowering exceptionally early.

Fermi, Pilgrim Clay normally opens in early September not July. But then again most of the flower in this post usually flower late August and in the case of N. dubius mid September!

The pale cyclamineus are very pretty, Graham.

Nice to see your new stuff, Graham.
Do you think I may've mixed up my labels? Does this look like Pilgram Clay?

incredible selection of Narcissus!
Rogan, your bulbocodium looks like Narcissus obesus

Always look forward to you posting your new crop of mini daffs, Graham. Mine are in full flush at the moment and have just spent two days pollinating.One full box of N.cyclamineous seed failed completely to germinate this year, disappointing to say the least, whereas N.triandrus germinated without fail.I'm losing too many different forms of N.cyclamineous.
With such a wet winter, incredible amount of snails out and about.I have 4 different (species?) to deal with.
