Hello, I am having a difficult time identifying this plant. If anyone has an idea on what family or genus this plant belongs, please comment/reply to this post. I really need your help, this is for my Botany/Taxonomy project and this is essential for us to pass. The closest that I've gotten for this plant are Saintpaulinia, and Viola only. Thank you in advance. Here are the links for the images:

Hi JffNnd - is the plant growing in nature in the Philippines?
-
Yes Ma'am, this plant was collected in Miagao, Iloilo, Philippines. The most distinguishing characteristic of this plant is its leaves with leaves. It is a creeper and happens to have an alternate arrangement of leaves.

I mean leaves with prominent hairs/trichomes

It maybe a Cyrtandra species - but there are several hundred of those, of all shapes and sizes..... :-\

Thank you so much for this ma'am. I really appreciate your reply and I will look it up to confirm if it really is Cyrtandra.

You are most welcome :)
I have sent the question to someone at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, who is particularly studying Cyrtandra - if she returns with an answer I will post it here.
