Title: Mystery seedlings
Post by: johnw on April 23, 2016, 04:36:02 PM
Are these indeed Meconopsis seedlongs?  The label says Meconopsis  ('Lingholm' knowing the garden where they were supposedly collected).  I say they're not but it's been so long since I've sprouted Meconopsis maybe they are.  Ken says they are.

johnw - +12c here though 22c yesterday.

Hi John, I think this is possible these are Meconopsis - the top photo especially. Not so sure about the lower one. Will try to post a snap of my M. 'Lingholm' tomorrow.

I'm thinking they could be. Mine from 'Lingholm' are much the same, smaller but your photo is larger than life?

What about M. grandis John? I have heaps of seed here from it, grown from SRGC seed a few years ago and labelled as "true" at the time. Certainly it is perennial. Can send some right away.
