Title: Calceolaria hybrids
Post by: Sibylle H on February 06, 2016, 06:49:55 AM
I'm searching for Calceolaria hybrids, especially with C. uniflora (darwinii) as a parent.
Where could I get these plants?
Thank you.

I've grown many of these from our own seed exchange seed over the years. Did see Aberconwy with some plants for sale once too.  Check the Plantfinder if you must have plants, many of the nurseries do mail order.

Thank you Chris.
If you have any seeds (or plants) over let me know. :D
I was told, that there are some Calceolaria enthusiasts in GB.
Do you know one of them?

Sorry Sibylle, I tend to float around various plant genus and had some seed two years ago but not now. I'll take a look at the surplus seed at Dunblane to see if there is any to be had, but your best bet is to join in the autumn and apply for seed early. It comes up like mustard and cress and you can have flowering sized plants in a year easily.  Good luck with your search!
