joke...Cypripedium plectrochilum

A wonderful and healthy Cypripedium which like cool conditions. Thank you Yijia for these photos, I have never seen such a well flowering Cyp. plectrochilon (and in a pot!).

A charming little orchid.... and growing very well, too.
I must say, the specimen to the right hand side in the first picture is certainly of the same species... no doubt about that, so many identical features.... 8)

Fantastic. Nice to see such an lovely plant and the tiny scale of the flowers. Well done. 8)

What a beautiful plant. Never hear of it before.

Hi,
a stunning display. What medium do you grow this species in?
-
Delightful, and such a tiny plant. Wow!
-
Here is a picture of one I just got off ebay.
It's smaller than I realised so I will have to keep it in a pot, rather than planting it out in the garden

Do you mean you plant all your Cypripediums in the garden!
-
Hi
Yes I plant all my cypripediums in a raised bed in the garden, but the rest are all hybrids which are usually more vigorous than the species.

I have just ordered a few species from Nature et Paysages, a French nursery specializing in carnivorous plants, with a small orchid selection. Couldn't help after admiring those beauties! :-*

Is this a joke?

Is this a joke?
He said so in the first line. I did not realise you were so serious.

Cyps are fit for introduction in the garden if the soil is prepared, have a look at these shots:

I grow a lot of mine in the garden. The rest, except californicum and spotted leaf forms, are in pots in a raised bed.
