Post by: P. Kohn on November 09, 2015, 01:58:32 PM
Not tried Lapageria from seed fro many years and think we failed last time we tried. Anyone have any success - advice to offer?  Should I sow immediately or wait until winter gets going  ?  Or do they really need any special teatment |?

Tried them fresh & from seed exchange in the past.  Sown fresh & kept in good light in an unheated alpine house germination was very good.
Also had reasonable results soaking dry seed for 24 hours in water with a drop of washing up liquid & sowing as above.
A couple of the plants from seed, sadly now deceased due to severe frosts some years ago.
