Title: Unknown "tumbleweed" from Namibia
Post by: Maggi Young on August 10, 2015, 11:13:26 AM
 From Diane Whitehead.....

"Hello Maggi

Could you please post this so I can get it identified?  No one here even knows what the flowers looked like

It is about 50 to 60 cm across with hundreds of seedcases.  I had hoped it might be a nerine but there are too many stems.

Diane"

I think it may be a Boophone seedhead?

Looks a lot like the seed head on Crossyne flava which was once considered in the genus Boophone, so your guess might be correct,
cheers
